High concentration of acid mist gas and dusty sulfur-containing gas will produce a lot of smoke after neutralization and absorption and purification, such as triacid, chromic acid, hydrofluoric acid, sulfur dioxide, etc.
The situation will be aggravated if the air volume and air speed are larger, and some of the exhaust gases may not be completely neutralized and fail to meet the emission standards. This is when we need to carry out mist elimination treatment.
Wet electrostatic mist eliminator is also called wet electric mist eliminator, wet electric mist eliminator. It is widely used in industrial production such as acid mist treatment, desulfurization and dust removal, and has been used for hundreds of years.
- Scope of application：
Used for acid mist neutralization treatment after; wet dust desulfurization device after the removal of smoke. Widely used in acid washing, electroplating, aluminum, metallurgy, brick factory, power generation, boilers, chemical, electronics, machinery manufacturing and other industries in the process of acid alkaline, dust and sulfur-containing waste gas emission demisting treatment.
The main shell is made of stainless steel 316L plate, with built-in cathode rod, anode plate bundle, insulation box and clean water system; below the main shell is the sediment collection chamber: with observation window and discharge port, and the wastewater collection tank made of cement, plastic or glass fiber reinforced plastic is available.
The principle is to deliver DC negative high voltage to the electric field space, through the space gas ionization, the dust particles and droplet particles in the flue gas are charged and move to the electrode plate under the action of electric field force, and make the droplet bigger and bigger, and flow to the precipitation collection chamber under the action of gravity.

Wet electrostatic mist eliminator and dry type electric dust collector work on the same principle, both of them deliver DC negative high voltage to the electric field space, through the space gas ionization, the dust particles and mist droplet particles in the flue gas are charged and move to the dust collection pole plate (collector) under the action of electric field force, thus being collected on the surface of the dust collection pole. The dry type dust collector uses vibratory cleaning to shake the collected dust down into the dust hopper, while the wet type dust collector washes the dust into the dust hopper (water hopper) by collecting the droplet particles in the flue gas and forming an overflow on the surface of the dust collection pole. The main difference between wet and dry ESPs is the difference in flue gas quality. The wet type electric precipitator is wet saturated flue gas, the flue gas temperature is lower, and the flue gas contains a large number of droplets. The wet type electric precipitator is usually set after the wet desulfurization unit, and the saturated flue gas after desulfurization carries a large amount of water droplets, which are captured when passing through the high voltage electric field and can reduce the chance of gypsum rain formation. It also has better effect for collecting fine particulate matter PM2.5 and acid mist, etc. The concentration of soot emission can reach ≤10 mg/m3.
